Life after ASLA 2015

Hi , And welcome to Lou Anders' very infrequent and non-obtrusive newsletter. It was wonderful to meet everyone at the Alabama School and Library Association Summer Conference this past Monday. Thank you very much for dropping by my table to learn about my series of middle reader fantasy adventure novels and entering my B&N Gift Card raffle. Speaking of... we have a winner!  My six year old daughter selected the winning ticket right before her bedtime, so it was a very unbiased, if somewhat unnecessarily drawn out, selection process. I'm very happy to announce that Jean Deal of Liberty Park Middle School has won the $25 Gift Card! Congratulations, Jean!  I'll be in touch with you directly shortly about delivering your prize!

Meanwhile, I spoke with several of you about the possibilities of school and Skype visits when I resume touring in the fall. For information on my speaking program, endorsements from teachers, and a list of the schools I've visited so far, as well as a very nice teaching guide, please see the "For Educators" section of louanders.com.

Finally, for those of you in or near Birmingham, I'd love to invite you to the
launch event for Nightborn, the second book in the Thrones & Bones series, which will be held at 4pm on July 18th at the Barnes & Noble, Summit Shopping Center, 201 Summit Boulevard Suite 100, Birmingham, AL 35243. I hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

Lou Anders
