Star Wars Anthology

Returning to a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Hi all,
There's some exciting news I've been sitting on which just broke moments ago at the New York Comic Con. And it means that I'll be making a return trip to that galaxy far, far away!

Michael Siglain, Creative Director of Lucasfilm Publishing, has just announced at the Lucas Publishing Panel that next summer will see a new anthology of Star Wars short stories. Tales from the Clone Wars (working title) is a collection of short story retellings of select Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes and story arcs focusing in on one main character from each. Stories will be written at the middle grade level, and the book will be a great way to introduce kids to the show or relive your favorite moments for yourself! Tales from the Clone Wars (working title) will be published August 25, 2020. And here's the amazing author list:

Lou Anders
Tom Angleberger
Preeti Chhibber
Zoraida Córdova
Sarah Beth Durst
Jason Fry
Yoon Ha Lee
Rebecca Roanhorse
Anne Ursu
Greg van Eekhout

Obviously, I'm biased towards that first name on the list, but leaving that Anders guy aside, there is some stellar talent in this anthology. I am super excited to be a part of it, and happy to be working with Executive Editor Jennifer Heddle again. It's fun to be back playing in the Star Wars playground after my novel Pirate's Price, and this time, I get to write for none other than Count Dooku, the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus himself.

Meanwhile, this was only one of three pieces of news I have been sitting on. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I can spill the beans on the other two. Until then...

May the Force Be With You,

Lou Anders
