My Little Pony, My Daughter, and Me

Hi all,

Today's the day I can finally share some big news I've been sitting on since the summer. I've done some writing for River Horse Games, and I didn't do it alone. That's right, my daughter and I co-wrote for Tails of Equestria, the My Little Pony role playing game. We are both bit My Little Pony fans, and we've been playing the excellent RPG set in the world of the animated series. So when River Horse asked me if I'd like to contribute to the game, I said yes, but only if my daughter would write with me. 

Together, we've written "Ship Shape" and "Piece of Cake", two short adventures featured in the upcoming collection, The Curious Case of the Malfunctioning P.R.A.N.C.E.R. and other tails.

To be clear, these are adventures, so you'll need the Tails of Equestria rulebook in order to play them. But we are very proud of them, and working alongside my daughter has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. She already contributed ideas (and a monster!) to my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Unicorn. But now she's a bona fide game designer in her own right. Adding to the My Little Pony, Tails of Equestria collection, River Horse will be launching its newest anthology series of 6 adventures, The Curious Case of the Malfunctioning P.R.A.N.C.E.R and other tails.

Produced under licence from Hasbro, Tails of Equestria is an origins awards nominated storytelling game set in the fantastical world of Equestria! Each player makes a Pony Character and explores famous locations from the show!

The Curious Case of the Malfunctioning P.R.A.N.C.E.R. and other tails is an anthology collection of 6 short adventures which challenge players with new problems that require new ways of thinking! From magic shows in Las Pegasus to the Grand Galloping Gala in Canterlot, to Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville, the ponies will make friends in many exotic locations. These adventures are perfect to pick up and play in an afternoon or as a way of filling in between longer adventures.
