Get Your Wings On for FaerieCon 2015
Hi,
This coming November 6th to 8th, I'll be appearing in Baltimore, Maryland at FaerieCon 2015! The event is held at the Wyndham Hunt Valley Inn located at 245 Shawan Road Baltimore, MD 21031. I'll be joining such great guests as Holly Black (The Iron Trail), Kami Garcia (Beautiful Creatures), Kelly Armstrong (Loki's Wolves) and Melissa Marr (Loki's Wolves), as well as Einar Selvik, founder of the band Wardruna, whose music is used in the television show Vikings. If you are in the Baltimore area, consider coming to this amazing convention. And as an added incentive, here's a special FaerieCon Author Discount Code that will get you 15% off any FaerieCon ticket (workshops are not included). Here's a link to the FaerieCon store. Just use the discount code in at checkout: FC1515

Recently, I was a guest on the fabulous Let's Get Busy podcast, hosted by super librarian Matthew C. Winner, aka The Busy Librarian. I've been a big fan of Let's Get Busy for a while now, so I was very excited to get to talk to Matthew. He's a great host, and he got me to talk indepth about all the world building that went into the writing of Frostborn and Nightborn. We also talk about gaming, and whether the cornucopia of technological resources available to kids today are a distraction or a boon (you can guess where we both fall). I'm very proud of the interview, and I hope you'll check it out.
Finally, I've been visiting a lot of schools this month, with trips to Madison Middle School (Madison, TN), Wright Middle School (Nashville, TN), Liberty Park Middle School (Vestavia Hills, AL), Riverchase Middle School (Birmingham, AL), and Berry Middle School (Hoover, AL). If you are interested in having me visit your school, please get in touch!
That's it for this month! As the Norrønir say, "Be healthy!"
