Chatting with Joe Bilton of Heroic Maps
So join us as Joe and I chat about how they got their start making battlemaps, how the company has grown, what goes into making maps, and Joe's own history with the tabletop roleplaying and wargaming communities.

I've been collaborating with Heroic Maps since 2020. We're probably in the triple digits now in terms of maps they've made for Thrones & Bones settings and adventures. For Fury of the Forsaken alone, Heroic Maps has created around 20 locations in day/night, interior/exterior, gridded, ungridden, and normal vs "under siege" variations, totaling over 120 battlemaps in all. Heroic Maps' full catalog is around 1,600 maps now and growing, thanks to their wonderful Patreon.
But outside of email, I've never actually sat down and talked with Joe Bilton (1/2 of Heroic Maps along with his wife Sarah) until this week.
