Tales from Stolki's Hall is here!!

Happy Book Birthday, You Book!

Today is the official publication date for the trade edition of Tales from Stolki’s Hall, out now in ebook and trade hardcover. This is a milestone I first conceived of back in 2013, a short story anthology of adult fantasy fiction, written by other authors, set in the land of Norrøngard from my first novel Frostborn and the Thrones & Bones roleplaying game books.

The hardcover of Tales from Stolki's Hall. 3 books in a stack.

The anthology features the work of Joel Shepherd, Ed Greenwood, K.V. Johansen, Sarah L. Miles, Jon Sprunk, Clay & Susan Griffith, Rachael Smith, J. Dianne Dotson, Jonathan Anders, and Chris Willrich. That gorgeous cover is by William O’Brien.

When I first sold the manuscript for Frostborn to Penguin Random House, I was already thinking about RPG books and short story anthologies. Now, a decade later, there are three books in the Thrones & Bones series, a related fourth book, a 5th edition RPG campaign setting, two adventure books, a soundtrack, a host of related products, including VTT battlemaps and 3D printable terrain.

As I’ve said before, although Frostborn is a children’s book series, the RPGs are for everyone and the short story anthology is squarely adult. I built a HUGE world, and I plan to spend a long time exploring it in a host of products in various media for various ages.

Here’s a list of places where you can get Tales from Stolki’s Hall:

Amazon: ebook, casebound hardcover, dust jacket hardcover

Barnes & Noble: ebook, hardcover

Kobo: ebook

Google: ebook

Apple Books: ebook

Smashwords: ebook

Meanwhile, the Deluxe Gamer Edition is available in PDF already from DriveThruRPG. The print ready files have been sent to the printer and are awaiting approval for that edition. But that’s an announcement for a future day.

Right now, it’s happy book birthday to Stolki’s! Thanks to everyone who contributed and everyone who supported!
