A World of Adventure

A look at what's to come. A treat at the end.

“Everything ends and it's always sad, but everything begins again, too. And that's always happy. Be happy.” The Twelfth Doctor, The Return of Doctor Mysterio

Several thousand of you came here from the Troll of the Town free adventure promotion. Thank you and welcome!

But several hundred of you came and still haven’t downloaded your free PDF!

You shouldn’t get nothing for your something, so please check your spam filters for emails from DriveThruRPG.

Meanwhile, that promotion is ending soon. So if you know anybody else that might like the free adventure, let them know now!

But as things end, so things begin. And while I’ve been hard at work on the Next Big Thing, there is also a host of smaller new adventures in the works, from a variety of acclaimed designers.

These adventures from a new series called Chronicles of Katernia. The idea is that each entry features a short adventures playable in one or two sessions, each occurring, not just in the land of Norrøngard, but all over the larger continent.

Some of the Chronicles will debut here at the paid subscriber tier, and some will be released as PDFs-only on DriveThruRPG, but, eventually, most likely next year, they’ll all be assembled in a hardcover collection.

The first adventure, “Tomb of the Frost Giant,” is already out and available on DriveThruRPG. Written by yours truly, it is perhaps predictably set in Norrøngard.

But let’s pull back the curtain on the future, shall we?

Here is a list of what’s coming out later this year and early next:

“Winter’s Rose,” written by Kelly Pawlik (Kobold Press, Draco Studios). Set in Turmany.

“The Couriers,” written by Kelly Pawlik, set in Nomerosa.

“A Case of Angst,” written by Matt Corley (Kobold Press, Petersen Games). Set in Rosnia.

“Flight of the Boobrie,” written by Sebastian Rombach, set in Araland.

“The Golden Hunt,” written by Sebastian Rombach, set in Thica.

I realize that, unless you’ve read the Thrones & Bones novels, these place names don’t mean anything to you yet, and some of them won’t even if you have read the books, but the exciting thing is, that’s soon all about to change!

So stay tuned, as many good things are coming!

Meanwhile, with Halloween season approaching, here’s a coupon for 30% off the darkest, scariest adventure in Norrøngard to date, Vengeance of the Valravn.
