Sneaky Peaky: Lands of Katernia
Lands of Katernia is the next big project from Lazy Wolf Studios.
A three-book expansion to the world of Thrones & Bones, it will feature:
- Creatures of Katernia—a monster book
- Chronicles of Katernia—a book of adventures
- Countries of Katernia—a guide to the entire continent of Katernia featuring scores of new countries and thrilling locations.
Illustrator Extraordinaire William O'Brien is providing covers for all three titles.
Here's a look at his work on the cover of book two, Chronicles of Katernia, which also features a glimpse of four of the new creatures found in the monster book:
Chronicles is designed to work with Creatures and Countries. So the adventures here are each set in a different region of the lands of Katernia, featuring monsters in the accompanying creature book. Chronicles will be a hefty tome by itself, with an assortment of adventures written by quite a few notable designers. (I'll save who for a later post.) The adventures are designed to be played as a loose campaign or played as stand-alones. And each adventure is rich enough in world lore to make a perfect introduction to its respective locale.
As always with Lazy Wolf Studios projects, all three books will be heavily illustrated by top artists, full color and no A.I. This has been a loooong time in development and is the most ambitious project since the first one back in 2021. I hope you will follow along with the project here on the Prelaunch Page.
